The Coast of pink granite is in the core of northern Brittany. At any time of the year, you will enjoy this outstanding scenery and you will share its spirit and spend a memorable weekend or more.

Nature lovers will choose between hiking and horseback riding. Water sports fans will hesitate between sailing and sea kayaking. Golf players will meet on the greens of Saint-Samson or Bégard.

In 1960, the creation of the National Centre for the Study of Telecommunications imparts a strong orientation to the industry of the city. Other high-technology companies followed suit and this influx of business was also conducive to the establishment of scientific institutions.

Lannion now covers an important part of research activities in telecommunications in France. The transatlantic submarine cable connecting France to the USA starts in Lannion.

The “Côte de Granit Rose” reveals a past of archaeological remains, castles and manor houses, churches and chapels, fountains and shrines.

The occupation of this territory dates back to ancient times, as evidenced by prehistoric megaliths. Each small town or village keeps traces of successive civilizations; such is the village of Tanmérin and its beautiful chapel.
